back to my original question, Compatibility aside. Reading what I have, the new XBox360 can not make that same claim over the new PS3 and in some cases, the PS3 is winning out on visuals. I was always happy with the original XBox because it seemed to win out on Visual Quality vs the PS2. Thanks for the quick reply! I am looking forward to diving into the PS3. But the playstation 2 is better to play playstation 2 because in some rare cases, not all the ps2 games' features are compatible with the ps3. And in both skus the software emulator play at the same level as the playstation 2. Both 60 gb and 80 gb versions can play ps1 games as well.

And on the otherhand, the 40 gb cannot play any ps2 games but however can play ps1 games. When people say that the 80 gb isnt as good as the 60 gb for playing ps2 games, they mean that the 60 gb can play almost any ps2 game where as the 80 gb's backward compatibility is very limited to which games it can play. Can the PS3 achieve these subtle but significant 'upgrades' too? The Dead or Alive 3 looks particularly crisp and what I find really interesting is the render distance in the Hulk game.Īgain, this is what got me thinking.
